Systems Training in Engine Performance (S.T.E.P.)

wpe5.jpg (20865 bytes)Most automotive industry sources agree that we have only begun to realize the use of vehicle emissions control systems. The public's increasing concern over environmental protection, combine with motorists' demands for improved engine efficiency now require that technicians fully understand auto emissions equipment and engine performance. STEP addresses this need by offering the in-service technician training in causes of excessive emissions and early fuel evaporative systems. Other essential areas covered in STEP include air injection reaction systems, fuel evaporation control systems, exhaust gas recirculation systems and catalytic converters. A very bright future is likely for those technicians who are prepared for improving both emissions control equipment and engine performance. STEP helps today's technician meet the future with the right training and hands-on experience.
